Crossing the Atlantic through Space
Space is one of the new frontiers for Science and Technology in Portugal. Looking into space also means looking into Earth, and more than ever, one is sure that it can hold key solutions for many of the Sustainable Development Goals. The ability to look at Earth from high above can help to better understand life on land and on water, the climate, the crops and many other earth systems. The technology edge that space provides, can also serve as an enabler for a global network, capable of providing access to the digital world all around the globe.
The MIT Portugal has been putting into action initiatives that aim at establishing in Portugal the capabilities to develop space related technology, science and knowledge sharing, all in a strong and active international collaboration domain. In this session, several examples of on-going research projects within the MIT Portugal framework will share some of their developments and discuss the expected contributions for Portugal and for the world at different levels.
