Join MIT Portugal & FDL 2021

Are you a PhD or postdoc level researcher in AI, data science, or space sciences?

If so, consider applying to the Frontier Development Lab (FDL) Program. Spend 8 weeks of your summer working with an international team of researchers on some of the most exciting challenges our society faces today.
Applications for FDL 2021 are due by 2 April, 2021.
Apply HERE.

About FDL:

FDL is a public-private partnership with NASA in the United States and ESA in Europe and it applies AI technologies to science to push the frontiers of research and develop new tools to help solve some of the biggest challenges that humanity faces. These range from the effects of climate change to predicting space weather, from improving disaster response, to identifying meteorites that could hold the key to the history of our universe.

Check out the 2020 Challenges here!

During the summer of 2020, the MIT Portugal-sponsored team, The Earth Intelligence Engine, worked collaboratively to combine physics-based climate models with generative computer vision methods to simulate high resolution images of Earth under future climate conditions, i.e. satellite images of the future.
