MPP co-director, Zita Martins, speaks at FLAD first Forum on Portugal and USA Higher Education

On October 24th and 25th the Luso-American development Foundation organized the 1st FLAD Forum on Portugal and USA Higher Education. For two days, specialists in the internationalization of Higher Education in the United States, Portugal and other European countries, shared knowledge, experiences best practices and challenges of the sector.

Our MPP Co-Director, Zita Martins, was an invited speaker on the Panel “Building a Strategic Plan for Outreach to US HEIs: Successful Models of Student Recruitment and Faculty Exchange”, where she presented the MIT Portugal’s contributions to students and faculty exchange between Portugal and USA. “There are several ways (using education and research) where the 2 countries can collaborate. At the end of the day what we want is to build a community that bridges together research centers, laboratories, industries, and universities both in USA and PT”, explained the MPP co-director.
