Students are invited to submit a poster showcasing their work in one of the strategic research areas of the MIT Portugal Program:

  • Climate Science & Climate Change
  • Earth Systems: Oceans to Near Space
  • Digital Transformation in Manufacturing
  • Sustainable Cities
  • Data Science

MPP will award the best poster in each research category with a US$ 300 prize.

Who can apply?

This poster competition is open to:

  1. PhD students with an MPP-FCT PhD Scholarship (i.e., 2020 and 2021 Call), or
  2. MIT and Portuguese students that are part of an existing MIT Portugal Program research project (flagship project, exploratory project, or seed project).

Selection of the Awardees

Poster submissions are due by July 31st 2022. The best 25 submissions will be presented at the 2022 Annual Conference, on September 20, 2022, in Aveiro, Portugal.

Students will be notified of this decision by email in the first week of September. The 25 selected poster award candidates will be invited to join the 2022 Annual Conference and present their work.
