The first edition of the Marine Robotics Summer School took place at Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). During two weeks fifteen selected students worked on assembling Underwater Gliders with kits provided by MIT Portugal. At the end of the two-week course, students presented their work and sucessfully tested their gliders in a swimming pool. There was also time to test the LSTS AUVs in the Port of Leixões, based on the knowledge acquired about the LSTS Toolchain software for the control and command of this type of vehicles throughout the summer school.
