MPP Co-Director Dava Newman Delivers TEDxMIT Talk
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
In Professor Newman’s talk, “Becoming Interplanetary & Accelerating Positive Change for Spaceship Earth” she discusses how humans will become interplanetary living both on Earth and Mars. Professor Newman’s prediction: we’ll find life (past or present) in the Universe within the next decade. The most urgent thing she works on every day is: “To make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation, without any ecological disadvantage to anyone of any living being.”
